The first step is to attach an ArborSystems™ chemical bottle to the Wedgle Direct-Inject unit.

Unscrew the bottle clamp and remove the storage cap, exposing two sharp needles. Be sure to keep the storage cap. It should always be replaced when the bottle is not attached to the injector unit.

Remove the metal safety tab located in the middle of the cap on top of the chemical bottle. This will expose the orange rubber end of the bottle.

Hold the injector unit so the exposed needles are facing downward. Slide the needles into the orange rubber end of the bottle.

Put the bottle clamp back in place. Hand tightening is all that is needed to secure the chemical bottle to the injector unit. The drawdown attachment transfers the chemical to the injector unit. The bottle can be removed and reattached ten to fifteen times. When tightening the clamp, be sure the threads are squarely aligned or stripping of the threads may occur.
It is easiest to prime the unit without the Wedgle Tip attached. Prime the unit by squeezing the handles rapidly several times. This will force the air out of the system. Gently squeezing the bottle may help if you encounter some difficulty priming the bottle. It is preferable to do this with an ArborSystems bottle of water, so chemical is not wasted.

Attach the Wedgle Tip to the injector unit. Unscrew the adapter lock nut part way. Slide the back end of the tip sideways into the adapter lock nut. Hand tightening will pull the tip towards the unit and secure its position.

Position the Wedgle Tip so the small hole is pointed upward.

Place the deflector shield directly over the hub of the Wedgle Tip.
