  A new piston O-ring should be installed each time the unit is assembled. Carefully insert the cap piece and piston assembly back into the barrel of the handle.

Reattach the connector rods into the lever nuts. These parts are small and can take time to line up properly. Sometimes it helps to push the paper clip into the lever nut to line it up with the connector rod. When tightening the rods with the screwdriver, make sure there is no play between the right and left handles. A little adjustment may be necessary. Tighten the rods snug, but do not overtighten.

Reassemble both check valve assemblies making sure the check valves are pointed in the correct direction.
