FAQ – Why does Wedgle use less chemical than other injection systems?

Less chemical is used because it is placed by the Wedgle Direct-Inject Tree Treatment System just under the bark where it is more efficient. Other injection systems drill into the wood of the tree. And those drilled holes often extend beyond active layers, so chemical is lost in non-active wood where the tree cannot use it. A drilled injection needs more chemical as it has to wick back out to the active area. The Wedgle injects chemical directly into the active zone, right where the tree can use it and with no drilling damage. For more information, click here.
